Who
Is The One Who Touched Me?
"A woman who had a bleeding condition for the past twelve
years could not be
healed by anyone. She came up behind Jesus, and touched the fringe
of His
robe, and immediately her bleeding stopped. Jesus said to her,
'Who is the one who
touched me?' And while they were all denying it, Peter said, 'Master,
the
multitudes are crowding and pressing upon You.' But Jesus said,
'Someone did
touch Me, for I was aware that power had gone out of Me.' And
when the woman saw
that she had not escaped notice, she came trembling and fell down
before Jesus,
and declared in the presence of all the people the reason why
she had touched
Him, and how she had been immediately healed. And Jesus said to
her,
'Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.'"
Imagine
that you are in the crowd and you watch the woman approach Jesus
and
touch Him.
What
would you do? Would you speak to her? to Jesus? Would you be like
Peter
and seek a deeper spiritual meaning to the situation?
Imagine
that you are one with bleeding - with a deep heartfelt need -
and you
see Jesus in a large crowd. Would you touch His robe like the
woman? If you
were the one touching Jesus, would you step up and tell why you
touched the
Lord? Would you be fearful or embarrassed?
Now,
hear Jesus say to you, "You are healed. Go in peace to serve
the Lord."
